About Ruthann Farinacci

I am a professional artist specializing in the creation of tapestry weavings whose color and texture depict nature and landscapes. I use mostly handspun wool and many times I use dyes to obtain a particular color. I'm especially fond of wools that have plenty of texture which add dimension to my weavings.

​I graduated from Edinboro University in western Pennsylvania, USA with a B.S. degree in Art Education. I have exhibited my work in several art shows and I am currently a member of the North Hills Arts Center in Pittsburgh and the Butler County Spinners & Weavers Guild in Butler, PA. I have also taught both weaving and pottery.
